Tigger at Los Angeles Temple

Portland Oregon Temple

The Portland Oregon temple is a majestic temple surrounded by big tall trees. I asked my owner if she would help me climb one of them, but she said she was worried she might fall, and let's face it, she just isn't as bouncy as I am.

Next I'm headed down the coast to the
Oakland California Temple.

TTFN!

Oakland California Temple

Here I am at the Oakland California Temple.
I saw this one from the air when my
airplane was landing in San Francisco.
Yup, more peanuts for me!

This temple has beautiful golden spires and means a lot to some
of the people I love. It is sort of complicated for me to
explain here, but just let me say that it is important when you love
somebody enough to marry them to get married for eternity in a temple
so you can be together forever, even if something bad happens,
like if somebody dies. Because, like that song says,
"If love doesn't last forever, what's forever for?"

Because when you get married, you might think
that from then on everything is going to be sunshine and
flowers, but life is kind of like nature, sometimes it is spring and
you have lots of flowers and sometimes it is winter and kind
of bleak and cold outside and the trees stand there shivering
without  their leaves. That's why I am glad there are temples,
and someplace we can go to remember that there are promises
for the future, no matter how tough things get sometimes.

So when you find yourself in the middle of the rapids, find
nice big rock to climb on and hang on. In the scriptures,
it tells us to "build on the rock" because rocks are solid and
you can count on them.  We all know what happened to the man
who built his house upon the sand. I know, because I used to live
next to him in Hawaii, before his house got washed away.

Our next stop is another California Temple, the Los Angeles Temple.

Los Angeles California Temple

Here I am in sunny California. I am a Hawaii surf-dog
kind  of Tigger, so I am right at home here in Los Angeles.
Actually, I was worried about being  mobbed by fans,
so I stayed away from Hollywood. You've seen The Tigger Movie
haven't you? I guess I should stop bragging about that.
One of the nice things about the temple is that inside
everybody is dressed the same so you don't know who is
rich and who is poor and who is a famous movie star
(me! me! me!) and who is just a lowly gray donkey.

Okay, because I am trying to learn how to be a
better Tigger, I should probably apologize to Eeyore for
what I said. You see, it isn't always enough just to say
"I'm sorry," especially if your mom or teacher makes
you or if you roll your eyes when you say it. It is better to
really BE sorry. So when you tell someone you are sorry, here
are some good ideas. Tell them what you are sorry for. This
shows them that you understand exactly  what you did that was
wrong. "I'm sorry, Eeyore, for saying I am more famous than
you are, and making it sound like you are not important." Then
you tell them that you are going to do better, and mean it, and
really try to do it. "I am going to remember to appreciate the
good things about you and be nicer to you." Then you ask
them if they can forgive you. "Can you forgive me, Eeyore?
Because you are very important to me, and I don't want to do
anything that hurts our friendship." Try it! It really works!

I am out of here. Don't want to miss my flight to the
Washington D.C. Temple. I am such a world traveler!

Washington D.C. Temple

Here I am at the breathtaking Washington D.C. temple.
What? You think I never go anywhere but Utah?

Here I am on the beautiful grounds.
I think I might come back here
at Christmas time. I hear that the grounds are
spectacular when decorated for the holidays.

These are my new buddies--
Weston, Dallin and little Levi.
With the help of their mom, Robin,
they were my hosts for this visit.
I had so much fun with their family,
I thought about just staying to live with them.
These boys are almost as bouncy as I am!
So I am going to stay with them for a little while
longer, because they are moving and they
are going to take me to another temple!

Temple fountains are my favorite!
Well, maybe it is a tie between temple fountains
and temple flowers. It is a hard choice to make.
I guess I will just have to keep loving them both!

If the outside of the temple is this beautiful,
I can only imagine how beautiful it must be on the inside.

Here I am in the visitors' center at the feet of the Master.

And this is a cool replica of the temple.

Here I am reflecting by the reflecting pool.

Hey, I can see myself!
What a handsome fellow I am!

It is so peaceful, I could sit here all day.

But I must be on my way.
There are lots more temples for me to visit!
I'm headed next to the Las Vegas Temple.

TTFN!

Las Vegas Nevada Temple

There were lots of other things to see in Las Vegas,
but I chose to come visit the temple.

To keep me from gambling in Las Vegas,
they didn't give me any money. Or the car keys.
Don't gamble with your eternal future and
remember to do your best to keep the commandments.

Can you spot me?
I feel like Where's Waldo next to this edifice!

There! Now you can see me better!

I always like to climb a tree for a better view of things.

And here I am again!

Knock knock knocking on the temple doors.

These are my friends who took me to the temple,
April, Katelyn, Charlotte, John,
Weston, Dallin and Levi.
It was so fun hanging out with them!

Two of them were baptized while I was in Nevada.

Isn't this a great shot? That's my best side!
Sunny side up!

I could sit here all day! It is so peaceful.

Cooling off by the fountain. I love temple fountains!

Next stop: Mt. Timpanogos

Mount Timpanogas Utah Temple

And my quickest visit ever, to the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple.
I'm there! Really, I am. Sign sitting, there on the left.

And now I'm off to visit the Brigham City Temple.

TTFN!

Brigham City Utah Temple

My Utah tour would not be complete without a
visit to the new Brigham City Utah Temple.

Hey, look at that! We got both me and Angel Moroni in
this picture. And we both play the trumpet!

Hey, the world didn't end!

Taking time to smell the roses.

Yet another refreshing fountain at the end
of my travels for the day.

And then we'll just backtrack a little bit
for a visit to the Ogden Utah Temple,
still under renovation, but almost finished.
