Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple

We're driving through Philadelphia.
I know there's a temple around here somewhere!

Sliding down the bannister at the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple. Wheeeee!

And we're here!

This way, please!

Pretty tricky getting both me and Angel Moroni
into the picture.
I was exhausted after this climb,
but the view was totally worth it!
Knocking on heaven's door.
Checking out the temple flowers.
A view of downtown from the temple grounds.
Philadelphia is full of historic buildings.

Here is another view of the temple.

Taking a break
inside the visitor's center.
Admiring my reflection.
This picture shows the whole temple. Isn't it majestic?
Family time is the best!
Here is a picture of the baptistry.
This is the celestial room.
Gotcha! I look like I'm inside, don't I?
But I'm just in front of a picture. *sigh*
But check out my visit to the Houston temple for the
story of when I really got to go inside.
This is a sealing room.
Hanging around with some old friends.

Getting to know a few new friends.
I call it "fellowshipping."The two on the left
wanted me to "bear" my testimony.
Having a little slumber party before I'm off
to explore another temple!

Palmyra New York Temple

Anybody recognize this temple?

Okay, here's a little hint!

Sorry, Moroni!
Didn't mean to photobomb you.

There! Is that better?

Hanging out on another beautiful temple fence.

Taking a rest on this bench
and admiring the view.

Another stop on the
breathtaking grounds.

And I can never resist climbing a tree,
especially one with such beautiful flowers.

Can you see the Sacred Grove
etched into these glass doors?

I always have to stop
and smell the flowers.

Check this out!

Here I am looking up at the Hill Cumorah
where the golden plates were buried.

Moroni is one of my heroes!

This is where the Book of Mormon was printed.

I got to tour the Grandin Print Shop.
I love historic places!

Then we visited the local bookstore.

Anyone is welcome here.

This was one of my favorite spots to visit.

My trip would not be complete without a visit to the Smith farm.

This farm has been preserved pretty much the way it was
when the Smith family lived here.

I thought it was interesting that this is where
my host took me for a bite to eat.

It reminds me that we can keep the
commandments so we can "chill out" in Heaven,
or
hang out in the hereafter someplace hot.

Manhattan New York Temple

This week I'm visiting a very unique
temple in The Big Apple.

The Manhattan New York Temple is my favorite
"skyscraper" because I feel close to Heaven
when I'm at a temple.

This building is both a temple . . .

And a regular meetinghouse where church
is held on Sundays.

And that is my friend Ilene who was so
kind as to show me around.

She even took me to Times Square.
There are lots of voices blaring
at us from the world, so I am even more
grateful there is a place we can go to escape all that.

Phoeniz Arizona Temple

The Phoenix Arizona Temple

Another beautiful reflecting pool.

I met a youth group who kindly posed with me.

I wandered the grounds looking for great photo spots
that did not involve sitting on a cactus.

The desert landscaping was unique.

Although it didn't feel as good as it looked.

I don't think the person who posed me for that picture
had ever sat on a cactus, if you know what I mean.
